If you do not hear the music right away, please be patient. While the samples provided are for your listening pleasure, the sound quality is never as good as the real thing. In the early days, musician Emil Gagliardi had trouble receiving massage due to the incomplete atmosphere during his sessions. The music was never appropriate for creating balance and was often times shorter than 60 mins. When creating Detaching the World Vol. 1 (January 2002), these details were key for him to perfect. Realizing that there's more to life than the "typical" new age synthesizer sound, he constructed a new style of ambient guitar to help interpret and create his flowing and healing music. This CD provides over 60 minutes in running time without the use of vocals or percussion. From the opening cut of "Tranquil Sunrise", Gagliardi's swirling guitar immediately sets the perfect mood for massage and relaxation. The density of "The Valley Beyond" swallows you up in a tapestry of color similar to a warm blanket while the hauntingly beautiful "Fallen Angel" resembles a fresh new day after a storm. The music of Detaching the World is set apart from all others. The purpose of this CD is to serve gentleness and ease like the inhalation and exhalation of the breath. Recent Reviews: "The purpose, the creators say, is to mirror breath, and the CD has that quality. It's dreamlike and gentle." - Massage Therapy Journal "With a length of just more than one hour, Detaching the World is perfect for most bodywork sessions." - Massage and Bodywork Magazine "I love this CD, but think I am addicted to it. It's the best music of its type that I've heard." - Michael Kaplan, L.M.T., Westfield, NJ "I haven't stopped playing your CD. It's playing right now. I keep it on when I'm gone too, because I feel it purifies the house. Thank you!" - Heather Bologna, massage therapist & Reiki Master, Reno, NV Check out the artist's website: http://www.detachingtheworld.com Track List: 1. Tranquil Sunrise 2. Deep Unknown 3.
