Solomon's style is based on many different musical influences. Some of his favorite pianists and composers include George Winston, Chip Davis, Hagood Hardy, Vince Guaraldi, Scott Joplin, Claude Debussy, Erik Satie, James Horner, John Tesh, and Jim Brickman.
His piano music is soothing, relaxing, peaceful, meditative, reflective, inspiring, uplifting, and emotional. His style could fall under any number of genres, including New Age, Neo-Classical, Easy Listening, or Folk Piano. But above all it is beautifully original.
Solomon Keal started taking piano lessons in First Grade in 1983. By the time he was 12 years old he had completed elementary piano education and was ready to stop taking lessons. After about a year of not playing, he came back to the piano from a love of music, with a background in basic music theory, and started learning piano pieces by ear. In 1993, when he was 16, he composed his first original piano piece entitled "Thunderstorm." He has been composing ever since, and now has over 50 original piano compositions.
Solomon is married, has two kids, and lives in Pennsylvania.
