Goldie is a highly meditative music album from prolific composer , Andy Crowley. This set of songs was written and recorded between 2002 & 2004 at Organica , Crowley’s project studio .
There is a fair amount of what Andy likes to describe as interpretive music on this album .
The opening track AC , is a tribute to some of the lesser known symphonic works of Aaron Copland . Living Buddha Living Christ is his sonic reaction to a book by that same title written by Thich Nhat Hanh , a Buddhist teacher and practitioner of nonviolence, which considers the seeds of love, understanding, compassion, and personal transformation which have grown into the flowers of Buddhism and Christianity. On a more humorous note is Crowley’s explanation of his composition , Rock & Roll . He says , “ It’s quite often droning and repetitive . Don’t you think so “ ?
