Musical Journeys began in March of 1997 as a result of a Health & Wellness Challenge at a local hospital in the St. Louis area.

Diane and Philip began leading relaxation exercises for stress management five days a week during employee lunch hour.

Initially recorded music was being implemented.

One day, Philip decided to use live improvised music of his own creation using a synthesizer and keeping the tempo around 60 beats per minute ( a resting heart rate).

Diane continued to lead the participants in deep breathing exercises, autogenics, progressive muscle relaxation, and guided imagery.

Participants began to rave about how refreshing and relaxing the sessions were.

Soon, people were prompting Philip & Diane to record this feeling on tapes and CDs.

Initially the idea was dismissed as they continued to lead the daily sessions.

Each time though, the participants pleaded with them to capture the same peaceful ambience.

This was something that people obviously hungered for.

In March of 1997, they went into a recording studio to capture that same magic, and Musical Journeys Volume One was born.

Since then, they have presented at numerous Health & Wellness Fairs, Conferences, and support groups.

They have appeared in the St. Louis Post Dispatch, created Musical Journeys Volume Two, and continue to expand on their product line.
