Digital Moodz is a project which began in 1998 by Erik Blackerby. Growing up around the world has allowed me to take the cultures and experiences that I have had and express them through my music. The music of Digital Moodz is hard to define; it is a myriad of electronic new age styles from ambient to world to ethnic to dance --not your typical bland new age music. You will find rich ambient soundscapes and textures, ethnic string and wind instruments, Spanish guitar, mysterious voices, choirs and Gregorian chants all blended through modern electronic grooves and percussion. I call it --New Age with a Kick!
The music of Digital Moodz was first introduced to the world via the internet on the ground-breaking MP3.COM back in 1999. From 1999-2001, Digital Moodz songs were downloaded and played on mp3.com over 1.2 million times. Digital Moodz music has been used in commercials and independent film projects from several different countries and been featured on numerous radio stations around the world.
