KEEP HOPE ALIVE
New CD from Interfaith Choir
Launches InspoPop Label

The Interfaith Fellowship Choir performs inspirational and devotional music from many traditions as well as new music by director Jeff Olmsted and other choir members. Formed in 1993, the Choir has developed a unique repertoire which draws from Christian, Jewish, Hindu, Sufi, Buddhist and Native American sources to create performances that are joyous, provocative and deeply moving. In addition to weekly performances at the Fellowship's worship services in New York City, the Choir has performed at the New York Open Center, Town Hall, The World Trade Center, The Cathedral of St. John the Divine and other Manhattan churches. Of their new CD, Inspiration Magazine says "reverent, playful, tradition-based, inventive and post-modernist all at once.. a scrumptious combination of spiritual nourishment and musical fun".

InspoPop is a record label dedicated to the creation and promotion of "inspirational pop"-music in a pop style that falls outside the usual Contemporary Christian and New Age categories. The company's next release will feature settings of the poetry of the 13th century Sufi master Rumi.
