Jack Gorham's CD "Noodles", takes the listener on an instrumental ride through 14 tracks of piano music.... Gorham's talented "noodling" on the keys is as relaxing as it is intriguing.
Gorham composed each of the tracks, which wanders between elements on jazz, blues and pop. Through 50 minutes, he shows off his prowess as a composer, playing with a skill that easily conveys emotion. Gorham gently coaxes the listener into each song, and the notes themselves become the lyrics. While listening to "Four Trees" I kept waiting to hear a voice such as Tori Amos' swaying with the rhythm. It amazes me that a single piano, with no accompaniment, can relate so much emotion and feeling... -Jeffrey Hahne, Go Triad Track List: 1. Where's The Band? 2. Back Again 3. Four Trees 4.
