Joe Masulli's first cd entitled Silk and Steel casts a very broad net onto the musical waters.Accomplished on guitar as well as piano,with a vocal style at times reminiscient of Dan Fogelberg/David Crosby-his music encompasses folk roots to Celtic to stunning New Age instrumentals.
A very intricate seascape of music with the stellar production skills of grammy-nominated recording engineer/artist,Paul Avgerinos.Assisting on background vocals is Christine Yandell of "Sweetbird"and one of the great Celtic musicians of our time,Jerry O'Sullivan on wooden flutes and uillean pipes.
A very bold and respectable first effort from this very accomplished man.
