I am very excited to finally, after playing guitar and piano for over 36 years, get some of my music "out there"! I have had a lot of encouragement from those who love me and I thought I would give it a try!
Years ago, in my early teens, I "cut my teeth" on the likes of Dylan, Judy Collins, Eric Andersen, Pete Seger and Tom Paxton. I couldn't get enough of them! I also started to learn the piano at the age of 12 but ended my formal lessons and continued to play for the love of playing. The desire to play the piano overwhelmed me as I grew older, so I continued to play and learned as I went along.
Aside from my love of music, I have another love that is just as important to me. Take to the sky with me as I am a private pilot flying a Cessna Skyhawk and a Piper Cherokee. The title track "East of the Sky" is a song I wrote about how I feel when I fly. I plan to earn my commercial pilot rating in the future as well.
