“...a unique and beautiful voice.....

Ron Harris, composer of “In this Very Room”

“Linda has power in her voice! I close my eyes and hear a part of her soul”

David Roth

“A powerful voice and powerful presence expressing powerful messages......music that heals, encourages, and empowers.....

Jana Stanfield

My music has often been called “Spiritual 12-Step Music”. Much of it comes to me completely written by Spirit. I combine an intensely emotional and lyrical vocal style with an eclectic mix of musical styles. Celtic, gospel, blues, country and pop idioms combine with lyrics based on real-life experience of forgiveness, surrender, courage, acceptance, release, and faith. This music is not for the faint-hearted. It is a call, a deep emotional call, to growth, and connection with Spirit. A musical mandate to walk the path, accept the adventure and live your dream. If you truly wish to be touched and lifted up with the musical equivalent of living from the heart, this is for you.

More about where my music comes from!

My music comes from many parts of my life experiences and musical influences. I sang from the age of 2, and studied classical piano from 7. I was raised with white gospel and deep country music while I was studying Mozart and Bach. My parents both came through the dust bowl, just like the movie “The Grapes of Wrath”, and settled in Northern California. Neither one of them lived their dream, and that had a profound effect on me--I was determined to live mine, but I didn’t know exactly what that was!

My music is a blend of all my early childhood influences, and my years in Kenya and Grenada, West Indies. I love rich rhythm, and I

...I lived in Juneau, Alaska for 2 years

...I lived in Kenya for 12 years, and in rural Kenya without running water or electricity for 3 years.

....I lived in Grenada, West Indies for 4 years and did music there

...I have a degree in Music, and played as a guest soloist with a symphony when I was 20.

...I started composing in Grenada, and wrote 1 song on my cd (on the outside) while I was
in rural Africa after experiencing true lonliness and cultural seperation.

...After leaving Kenya, and my marriage, and my 9 year old son, I started to heal my childhood (alchoholic/remote father and verbally abusive/controlling Mother) and found my inner child again. I started the journey to transformation by going to support groups and taking a spiritual 12-step program. I did my steps, took reponsibility for my own choices in life, forgave, let go, and started reclaiming my inner artist. After 1 year I started composing, letting my songs become the story of every person who wants to re-connect with the child they were, and the sense of completeness and wholeness that gets lost along the road of life.
