Her gentle songs and captivating vocals embrace the inner self, inspire, and stir the emotions. Violins, flutes and harps weave her poetic lyrics in ways that serenade the soul and strum chords of remembrance. Her music moves inward and outward, from past to present, relaying stories that are sometimes bittersweet, oftentimes enchanting
and always mysterious.
A singer, songwriter from the South Bay area of California, she sings in a New age, folk style, that is refreshing in its clarity and heartwarming in emotion.
Her songs capture moments in time that are fleeting, vulnerable, sensual and poignant.
Marci began performing at an early age. The daughter of a musical director who was a founder of a small theatre, she spent many years singing and dancing under warm lights in front of live audiences. Later, she would head off on her own for bigger stages and new experiences. She would take on more dramatic roles and dabble at directing.
It was a strange encounter with her muse that started her out in new musical directions. During a time of soul searching, when she felt need to put down her thoughts, she began journal writing. One morning, a little character emerged from the pages. For the months that would follow, her muse would take her along on many adventures, rekindle her creative spirit, and introduce her to the harp.
Since that time, she has played in ensembles, duos, solo and as a member of an electric harp band. Her stages are now at cafes, festivals, concerts and conferences.
This has led to song writing, recording and her recent album release.
It is her hope that others will feel inspired by her journey songs and go in search of their own muse. Once encountered, life is never quite the same. It is joyful, purposeful, and even magical.
