Born 1976 Rexburg, Idaho. Mathew grew up in a small rural Idaho community and was instilled with values of family and achievement. He took to music early in life and was a natural at piano. His piano lessons consisted more of playing what he heard rather than learning music theory. To this day one of his biggest fans is his piano teacher who encourages his creativity.
Not satisfied with just playing music out of the books, Mat began composing at a very young age of nine. Before graduating from High school, he produced two recordings of various works. His production of "54 BC and 1 LP" was performed by the high school elite chorus with solo performances included. This was his beginning.
In addition to composing and performing music, Mathew has a talent for acting and stage presentation having performed in various roles in local productions.
Mathew has gone on to compose and perform his works in local public venues and on stage for local variety show productions.
In 2002, "Sun In My Eyes" showcases his talent as singer, song writer and musician. His works vary from ballads to solo piano works that are difficult to classify in any single music genre, however, his music is inspirational and emotional. The melodies paint a picture for the mind to see while listening.
