Phil Jost is a composer and songwriter whose instrumental arrangements reflect the influences of his classical training, professional film scoring and orchestration studies and more than twenty-five years of experience writing, performing and engineering contemporary music.

His unique, highly melodic style combines classical arrangements and orchestral instruments with environmental sounds and the energy of electric violin, piano, percussion and guitars.

"Phil Jost and Sibling Rivalry - Live at the Charlotte Convention Center" was released featuring his passionately melodic instrumental pieces "Human Spirit, and "Piano in the Woods". Both are reminiscent of the works of John Tesh and Yanni, yet with Jost's own distinct flavor.

The Sibling Rivalry group is one of those rare bands that combines Rock, Classical and Pop with seemingly flawless transitions and naturalness.

Rock/Pop fans will have fun with the "Un-plugged"- Intro to "The Girl With The China Eyes" with the vibrant violin improvisation of Daryl S.

"Maybe Tomorrow" - is a studio cut that was written in dedication to the Oklahoma City Bombing victems and families soon after that tradgey. The lyrics seem timely again with the post September 11th effects on our country.
