In his high school library in Aspen Colorado, Robert Cory began his musical journey listening to Vangelis, Jarre and Mike Oldfield from a Sony Walkman. He fell in love with the sound textures those artists created as well as the technology they used to make music. In 1980, when Robert had moved to New York City, he received his first personal computer and began to learn programming languages so that he could develop a computer game. When it came time to write music and sound for the game, at 17, he began piano lessons at Turtle Bay Music School which introduced him to the world of classical music.

Upon returning to Aspen, he spent his summers at the Aspen Music Festival recording live performances of orchestras, solo performers and master classes. From there, he attended 3 years at the University of Arizona, Tucson where he mostly hung around the school's recording studio, while beginning to collect some equipment of his own to have at home.
In 1989, Robert Cory traveled to Sedona, Arizona with his equipment and opened the first public recording studio. At first, he was just a sound engineer, but over time he began to get involved with production and performing on the records, taking artists' songs from "demo to master" with complete arrangements designed with computers and synths.

It was in Sedona, where Robert Cory met Chris Spheeris who became a mentor, brother and musical companion on a variety of projects.

Cory continues to live in Sedona Arizona with his wife and daughter and looks forward to the future of creating more music for albums and soundtracks. He is now working with TV channel 18, The Sedona Now Network, mixing and creating musical scores.
