Roger Adamson, known in the Music Industry as "Roger Ranks" was born in Manchester Jamaica, West Indies. He grew up in the Rose Town area of Kingston 13 and also Rockfort in Kingston 2. "Roger Ranks" had an urge for the music business from he was in his teens. To pursue this desire he started off his own disco Sound System "King Attack" with a few friends. During his Whitfield Town school career and while doing his school work the music industry still continued to be his favorite desire. "My whole heart and soul was pointed towards music,” says "Roger Ranks". To further this love, Roger toured the island playing authentic music with the popular set "Disco One" with Al Chin entertaining the musical satisfaction of young and old.
Mr. Ranks migrated to the USA in 1989 but he took his musical experience with him. His first US release came out of Cosmic Force Studios entitled "God Heart". This was his sole production. Marcia, calibe and Fiona can be heard doing back up vocals on many of the tracks on his recent release "Lovers Talk". Also "Roger Ranks" gives great thanks together with Marcia Ball, "Mary G", Ron Meredith, Karl Petterson (Masters and Engineer) and all the musical crew who worked patiently and tirelessly to make his latest CD "Lovers Talk", a success. It will no doubt be a success considering the great tracks compiled.
