The Kingdom Flying Club was formed in January 2002. Our first cd "Minutes from the Meeting" was #26 on KCOU's(MU radio) top 10 charts and Jason Kafer's (he of "Shake 'Em on Down" fame) "best of 2002", and our newest full length, "Non-fiction" is an incredible #7(!!!) on his best of 2003 as well as peaking at #95 on CMJ's Radio 200 charts. The follow up, the Sumatra Fox E.P., charted at #102! We play an eclectic mix of all original songs from indie-pop to soft countryfied ballads to the occasional angry rawk number. We do all of our own recording, mixing, mastering and cd design in a big salmon colored house here in Columbia, MO. and we like it that way.
