Popboomerang Records is proud to present the second in our series of global pop comps; "Planet Of The Popboomerang: Volume 2" The interest in the project this time around was so great that we've produced a 2CD set of sparkling pop tunes.

To make it very easy to get your ears around the album, we've decided to allocate the USA bands their own special disc (Disc 2). The Australian acts appear on the other CD alongside the pop bands from The Rest of the World (Disc 1).

The most exciting aspect of "Planet 2" from our point of view is that the album contains new or rare recordings from the current roster of Popboomerang bands; Tim Reid, Gigantic, Chris Murphy, Tamas Wells,The Richies, Vocoder & Kelly's Heels.

Disc 1 also features brand new and exclusive pop songs from The Oranges (Japan), Shiner 22 (Denmark), Go You Huskies (Australia & Norway collaboration), American Suitcase (Norway) and Ricky (UK) who appear alongside a host of aussie acts such as Milli Davis, Idiot Grin,The Rumours, Ryan Elsemore along with Adrian Whitehead and Paul Vallen (both ex Mome Raths)

Disc 1 also features a currently unavailable track from the great Cosmic Rough Riders along with one of the first recordings from fellow Scottish act Green Peppers (the first solo project of Jim McCulloch - ex Soup Dragons/BMX Bandits/Superstar). This song also features lead vocals from ex Belle and Sebastian member Isobel Campbell.

Let's now take a peek at the USA disc. We are thrilled to include two recently unearthed rare gems from the vaults from legendary pop act Blue Ash.

We have also obtained new & exclusive recordings from American pop favourites Maple Mars, Lolas, Bobby Sutliff , Neilson Hubbard, Cloud Eleven, Jeremy, Florapop and Chris Richards among many others. This disc also contains the first ever released recordings from Clifton,The Hipnotes, & the
Daizypops.

So "Planet Of The Popboomerang 2: is USA v's The Rest Of The World in the best possible way! Play this disc long & loud. It's a portable "International Pop Overthrow" for your listening pleasure.
