I owe my interest in music to both my father Bishop Lonnie C. Woolard Sr, an Apostolic Bishop and to my mother Violet Ann Woolard who was a missionary in the church and also played the piano and sang. The piano lessons that I took were intended to teach me to play for the church or teaching career, but my heart yearned to be a performer.

Secular music was not allowed in the Apostolic church. It wasn't long however that I secretly listened to secular music and began to identify with its music and message. In high school my thirst for music deepened as I continued to study.

I saved my income, bought my first professional keyboard, performed at functions in the community, and heard my music over some college radio stations. I attempted my first recording and continued to write and arrange music, perform, study, and work as an accompianist. Music is and was my world and I was dilligent in my profession.

I released my first CD on September 7, 2001. "What's Up Little Man" is dedicated to my 7 year old son, who inspired me to make the recording. My father passed his wealth of knowledge down to his children, as I, my wisdom to Terry Jr. "What's Up Little Man" has a message that I know my son will carry with him through his lifetime.
