Reinvention is successful for but a rare few - Will Halliday spent years climbing corporate ladders until one day he realised his soul was being sucked dry and it was time for a change. He traded his suit for a guitar and has never looked back.

After completing a Masters of Business and working as a senior consultant for elite corporate giant Andersen, Will took a leap of faith to follow his heart and pursue a dream of writing music for a living. Having sacrificed a healthy pay cheque, he set about applying the same determined focus on his music which he gave to his previous work - the result has yielded his beautiful new solo album "Dusk" on Laughing Outlaw Records.

Will played some highly praised gigs with his former band Hopetoun Avenue and won over a loyal following, supporting Dave Graney, Jimmy Little and Richard Clapton. His legion of fans cherished the band's understated urban chic and unique performing gifts.

The music on "Dusk" traverses many popscapes; from the sweet soul of Jeff Buckley to the lush cool of Massive Attack, with the craft and intelligence of Radiohead.

As leading music rag The Drum put it, "Will Halliday's voice is like the creamy taste of Cadbury's dairy milk chocolate when you're ripped, so velvet and sweet it keeps you coming back for more. The guitar playing has a subtle warm tone and a lilting melodiousness that makes for very tasty pop confection".

As an independent young singer/songwriter who has slain the corporate beast and reclaimed his soul, Will is quietly getting on with the business he loved most, making music. And not a corporate takeover in sight.
