Born and raised in the ghetto streets of Manhattan's upper east side EL BARRIO District of Spanish Harlem, Rock Singer/Songwriter Rob Flores placed an ad in the Village Voice during the summer of 1990 seeking rock musicians to join his band. After much trial and error the Bodega Dragons were formed in 1991. Within a year they began working on “Unfinished Business,†their first Independent CD effort. Recorded at World Studios in Manhattan it was released in late 1993.
The Bodega Dragons paid their dues performing at many well known Rock venues such as the Bitter End, Avalon, Rock & Roll Café, Down Time and The Spiral. They developed a cult following along the way because they refused to change who they were as a band musically and only performed and wrote about what they knew best…life on the streets of New York as seen through their own eyes. Their performances were riveting, exciting and honest in their energy filled delivery.
