Ask anyone where the new breeding ground for the hottest rock bands is , and you will receive answers such as, Seattle, Phoenix, Minneapolis, Toronto, and Southern California. What you will not hear in almost every case is South Dakota! I mean really South Dakota is the home to Mt Rushmore, Rodeos and the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, not an up and coming Rock band.....or is it? Actually South Dakota is home to all of the above, including CorpuS. But who is CorpuS?. Well the answer can be found by asking almost any high school or college kid in in the Black Hills of South Dakota. Corpus, is a group following in the footsteps of ......well- nobody, actually they are kind of creating their own path to the top, like we said how many rock bands do you know that call South Dakota home.
Made up of 4 friends CorpuS brings their hard hitting originals and awe-inspiring covers to venues across the upper mid-west, putting on a show that leaves venue owners and Fans in disbelief and craving more. And with the release of their first album, Show me Somthin' Fans have the opportunity to suppress their desires, with eleven CorpuS originals including" I Hate You," "Dissonance," "Shelter," and "Lessons." While the Founding members of CorpuS have been together for over three years, it was not until the addition of Tucker Tonkel, as lead vocalist, that the band became re-energized and began to gain momentum in the great journey towards music stardom they have embarked upon. While Tucker has brought the vocal ability to the table, the group would not exist without the talent found in the other members. Mike Lich is an amazing drummer, who is able to catch a beat and follow it through to the end. Mike Haynes is a guitar maniac, who looks and sounds like he came directly from a Metallica album. Chris Schmoker, is as laid back as they come and makes playing the bass guitar look like child's play. While, each person is unique in their own way and fashion, they become one on the stage and put on a show that will have your customers requesting CorpuS to perform again, week after week.
