CTOE gained attention by winning the "Land yr Band" on-line contest sponsored by New York City's own K-Rock radio station in 1999 on the strength of thier "Simple Things" album, beating out some 500 bands. Before that the band was touring and perfecting thier simple and unique brand of minimalist metal to the delight of thousands. Deftones, Ozzy, Creed, and Clutch are among the long list of bands this tallented quartet has toured with. 2002 saw the release of "Tales From Pornographic Oceans" and the critically acclaimed nationally released single "Whatever". After three albums released inependantly and two albums released on two different labels, the music of CTOE lives on and remains a leading voice in modern rock with the release of thier latest album "Simply Live". The band started in late 1994 with Tom Case on guitar and vocals, Mark Morrissey on drums...and Andy Fraiser on bass. About a year later a DJ was added...so J.B. joined and was in the band and active for about 5 years untill he decided to devote his time to raising his children and focusing on managing clubs and coordinating DJ tallent...guitarist Kevin Goss was making videos for the band and occasionally sitting in and guesting on studio recordings before he was asked to join full time in 1997. CTOE has 5 albums...and a vault full of demo's........ CTOE also put out a DVD this year and it's pretty fuckin awsome. (available upon request) "Simple Things" album is availabe at amazon .com
