"DEALER" are a new blues band in respect to how long they have been together. Formed in 1999 by Alan "Dealer" Wheeler,They consist of, Kenny Wheeler, Mark Brown, Ian Morton and Alan Wheeler. Alan writes all the material for the band and is the nucleus of the band's hard edged blues style.
It's been said of the band, that they are very influenced by the likes of S.R.V and people of that genre, but Alan strongly denies this view. Considering his 41st year on the planet,Al say's, I get my influences from everywhere and any music style. His claim to fame, or infamy, is that he has never bought a record/CD/Tape or other recording of music, in his entire life. He say's that he'd rather play it ,than listen to it. Alan started playing guitar in 1970, when he was just ten years old. By the age of sixteen, he was playing guitar in a semi-pro band. Kenny is the drummer and Al's big brother, so there's a good musical connection going on between them. Instinctive in his style, Kenny plays a strong role in the band, alongside Ian Morton on Bass, and Mark Brown on Rhythm guitar.
