"Sounds like a Dixieland Alice in Chains dancing through some suicide blues to keep the drunken cowboys from killing them."- 4song EP review @ www.sleazegrinder.com

Three working stiffs, with a drive to bring LIVE ROCK back to prominence, met in the summer of 2000 and melded their experiences and influences to create a heavy blues-rock act that is uniquely entertaining. With influences from Alice in Chains to ZZ Top, Badlands, Pride & Glory, Kings X, Brother Cane, Black Label Society, Corrosion of Conformity, and countless others, the combination produces a driving, heavy, melodic groove that is sure to suck you in, ring you out, and leave you begging for more.

"Devil Stomp is a heavy-metal-swamp-boogie-blues-rock power trio from Lexington Kentucky. Broad ranges of musical influences combined with some very strange life experiences create a style of music, which is bluesy, powerful, heavy and melodic."

Boone, Guitarist/Vocalist, brings high altitude vocals and a raw guitar style that drives the band, Bassist Joey Cain lays down a tight, solid groove, adds killer vocal harmonies, and brings a fresh songwriting style. Drummer Sam Rhodus is a visual tornado, a ball of animalistic energy that lays down just the right grooves, from trippy to SLAMMING, that drive the sound of DEVIL STOMP.

The first full-length release from Devil Stomp entitled "Hole" is catchy and diverse, with tons of ingredients you'd expect from these Kentcky boys- les paul/marshall grit, thunderous bass lines, slammin' drums & high altitude vocals & harmonies, and catchy lyrics that ARE American ROCK!

From the beginning, there's the 5/4 slam of "Jane" with it's quirky "happy ending". The 'goin-straight-to-hell' parody of televangelists in "God for Sale". "Dance" - best described as exotic dancer blues, "Suck" shows a little angst, while the evil swamp boogie blues of the title track "Hole" takes it to a whole new level. The poppy hooks of "Mercy", the hilarious mid-life crisis personified in "Bend". All-out rawk of Push; crunchy, melodic sounds of "Alright", and the subtle acoustic flavors of the poignant "Gone" all make this an album that you'll dig into over and over again.

Devil Stomp- so much sin, so little time.
