Uncompromising hard rock defines Dogfight's music. Blending their diverse musical influences, Dogfight creates strong, memorable, intensely emotional songs. The band's live performance is equally as powerful, physical and intense.
In December of 1999 the seed was planted when bass player Mike Q. joined forces with drummer Danny D., forming the backbone of the band. The two envisioned establishing a band that could separate itself from the herd of Boston area bands.
After a year and a half of hard work, releasing two independent CDs - "Separation" (2000) and "Suffer and Goodbye" (2001). Danny and Mike found themselves still searching for the right guitarist and vocalist to get the band where they wanted it to be.
Mike Q. recruited long time friend and guitarist Eric O. Having played together in various successful projects throughout the 1990's, Mike and Eric quickly re-established a unique chemistry.
By the end of December 2001, the Dogfight line up would finally be solidified when Mike B. stepped into the fold. It was an easy decision after Mike crushed the band with his intense vocal ability during his audition. Dogfight then got back to work, pushing themselves harder than ever before.
Dogfight began writing and recording what would soon be their strongest album to date. "PUSH" was released in the fall of 2002.
The first single "Another Day" received a great response from fans and radio throughout the New England area. "Another Day" received daily rotation on WAAF, WCCC, WGIR, WBCN, WQBK, WCYY, WRKW and the national cable music channel-Music Choice. CD sales total over 6000 units.
As a result of their hard work, large fan base, great live performance, and soaring cd sales, Dogfight has been honored to open for many national acts that come through the New England area: Staind, Puddle of Mudd, Papa Roach, Drowning Pool, Fuel, Sevendust, Static-X, Dope, Non Point, Noise Therapy, Kitty, Ra, Double Drive, Luna Coil and many many more. Dogfight remains competitive amongst any signed active rock band in the business.
Still unsigned, Dogfight continues in their tradition of powerful guitar driven music and energetic live performances. Never satisfied, the band is constantly developing their craft and exploring various musical landscapes.
