Since December of 1999 the music of the band Fake Eddie has graced the ear of Morgantownians young and old. In the beginning, the original 5-piece played mostly covers and oldies as they entertained county fairs around WV and high school functions. They dabbled with different names at first (i.e. Supple Plunger and Bilbo Baggins), but settled on Fake Eddie - after a high school friend's nickname.
The debut album, "Fake Eddie" was released in January of 2003. Six months later they were back in the studio, recording their sophomore album "Death Eating a Cracker" which was released in July of 2004. Next came the "Turn Off Your Radio" EP which became available in October of 2004. And most recently "Televisionary" which had an official release of June 21st 2005! Fake Eddie hopes to keep creating epic music, unlike any other, in order to serve audible delight to all listeners with open ears.
Fake Eddie has played with bands such as The Argument, Distorted Penguins, Amity, The Emergency, The New Relics, SGR, The Trend, Stolen Element, and Flinch (among others).

"The whole effect of Fake Eddie's mash up of styles is akin to a candy bar wrapped in concrete - heavy and dense on the outside, but with a core that's sweeter than a good friend's embrace."
- James Marinelli, The Dominion Post
