"Impression," is Fingerprint's first album, and could be described, as a plethora of anguish, death, and dying set to music. Fingerprint's techno roots meshed with aggressive guitar and strong vocals create a refreshing sound that cause it to stand apart from the cookie cutter top 40 rock songs which all seem to melt together. From "Muddy Footprints," a unique rock arrangement stamped with eerie falsetto vocals flirting with police brutality, to "Deathbed," a heavy track ending with blood-curdling screams that capture the appalling truth behind medical hospice units, to "Scaredy Cat" the most upbeat track on the album dealing with breaking the mold and giving the status quo the finger. The tracks are intertwined with priceless samples and snippets of avant garde songs that tease you, leaving you wishing they were longer than just a blurb between each song. "Impression" is an essential to anyone who appreciates real music, or just plain wants to rock.
