The Flip'n Whitey's are a Southern California based band, with a reputation of being one of Orange County's best party bands. Formed in the fall of 2000, the five guys from Huntington Beach quickly made a name for themselves by playing countless shows throughout California, playing alongside numerous top named acts. With five members in a band, comes a wide array of musical styles, tastes, and backgrounds, and trying to pinpoint or label this band would be next to impossible. Artists ranging from NOFX & Pennywise, to Sublime & Bob Marley (along with many others), have all had a hand in influencing this highly diverse band. At any given show, you may hear songs ranging from hard and fast punk rock, to hip-hop influenced, dub-style reggae, and even melodic power-pop.

This band seems to have it all, providing audiences with a large variety of songs that people of all musical tastes can enjoy and rock to. One thing is for sure... The Flip'n Whitey's put on a power packed show that's sure to get you moving, either in a huge frenzied mosh pit with their fast, blazing punk rock, or dancing to their infectious, dance-oriented reggae. Either way, you'll leave the show exhausted, craving for more, and above all, absolutely rocked!

Four friends who started out one summer, jamming together in a garage. They quickly realized that it was more fun to create music, rather than to just play cover songs. But not just any music, their own brand of music, free from any boundaries or labels. There would be one simple rule, and that was to create music that they would enjoy, whether anyone else did or not. By the end of the summer, it was obvious to all of them that they should form a band, and with that came the birth of The Flip'n Whitey's. An unusual name that the guys made up one night, noticing that the band was made up of both Filipino and Caucasian members. Before long, several songs were written, and upon the urging of numerous friends and fellow musicians, the Flip'n Whitey's played their first show to a packed audience in Santa Monica. With a tremendous response and following, they played show after show at some of the most popular live music venues in Southern California, and eventually all over. With the momentum they had, the band decided to record their first EP, in early 2001, and in May of 2001, the EP "Tuesday Night Hero" was independently released, to much anticipation.

Today, the band enjoys local success, and looks forward to future success, which is sure to come their way. Their diverse sound, incredible live shows, and loyal, ever-growing following, are the heart and soul of the Flip'n Whitey's. Never forgetting their one rule, and always remembering to have fun, the band looks forward to the release of their newest LP, due out in December of 2002. The Flip'n Whitey's are always hoping to see new faces at their shows , and to make and meet new fans. They continue to write new songs, play shows regularly, and to try to do the one thing they have the most fun doing.... music.
