CD Review
By: Douglas Sloan
Metronome Magazine (September 27th, 2003)

Joe Mazari has been on a roll as of late. This is his second full length release in a year and these 11 tracks are just as vital and potent as his previous album. Once again aligning himself with drummer Simon Ritt, Mazzari also enlists the forces of singer-bassist Greg Steinbaugh, bassist Carl Biancucci, singer Celeste Piche and singer-guitarist Mark McGhee to pump up the sound of this record to maximum potency.

Joe's scrappy guitar work ala Black Sabbath's Tony Iommi is still well intact as he uses power rifting feedback to his advantage. Fusing his post-punk and hard rock guitar techniques to streety tough lyrics and a vocal growl that would wake the dead. Mazzari carves his sound deep into the listeners brain. This may very well be Scary stuff, but I think you're going to find it good as well! Best tracks: "Scary", "Bad Voodoo", Tattoo Crucifix", and "NY Coattails". Roll on Joe, roll on.
