Johnny Reb, a displaced Confederate from Maryland, has written a full-blown rock opera soundtrack and movie about the rebel invasion of Maryland in September 1862.
General J.E.B. Stuart, commander of the Confederate cavalry, knowing that his men faced certain death in the days ahead, decided to host an impromptu ball at an abandoned academy in the Maryland countryside. Jeb, the "Bold Dragoon", didn't count on meeting an outspoken young woman from NYC named Anne Cockey.
After dancing at the ball with Anne, to be known foreverafter as the Sabers and Roses Ball, and fighting off a Yankee attack during the Ball, Anne makes J.E.B. promise to return to see her...but how can he? When 90,000 Federal troops, and his own sense of honor, stand in the way...
