They soon put up an ad at a local music store for a singer that included a list of influences ranging from Frank Zappa, King Crimson, Jethro Tull, Michael Schenker to Yes. Erik, seeing the ad and its list of diverse influences, decided to audition. After a couple weeks of writing and working together it became apparent that they should form a band. Six years later the result was the sixty-one plus minute CD "Startlite Storage" named for the bands rehearsal space. The eclectic mix of tunes can often cover Zappa, The Beatles, Black Sabbath and all points in between all within a three to four minute time frame. Their philosophy on songwriting is craftsmanship along with the "less is more" approach. Moreover, if a song "works" with just one chord than that's all it needs.
Although Marble has had many gigs in the Bay Area their focus was always to record. Now with that behind them they seek to gig and utilize any other means possible to promote their music.
