Poised to take music through its next great era, Joshua Haven, J. Stanton, and Dov Appleman took on the name Masters of the Lunaverse in early August 2005. The name symbolized more than three talented individuals; it symbolizes change both for them and for music. Originally known as the band Shiver, Josh, J., and Dov decided that with their new dedication to music they needed a new name that reflected this commitment. A rabid fascination with a certain 80's cartoon led to the adoption of their new name. In the summer of 2005, the trio recorded their first EP at the famous Headgear studios in Williamsburg. The three have created a sound that will usher in the underground scene of Williamsburg in a big way.
