mind's hideaway is an alternative rock group composed of four members from Elmhurst, a west suburb of Chicago. All four members grew up in the same neighborhood with each other and went to the same high school. While all were active with music and knew each other throughout their lives, they never played together until the summer of 2002. They got together and have been jamming, creating, rehearsing and performing their unique blend of hip-hop, punk, and Hendrix-style American rock and roll. Since passing out hundreds of copies of their first released music, the "burn one for a friend" demo, and the follow up "void" demo, their fan base has been steadily increasing. Their highly anticipated "don't ask why" EP was released Nov 2, 2004. mind's hideaway is looking forward to playing shows all over Chicago, and exposing their home city to their music.
