Based in Elmhurst, a northwest suburb of Chicago, Mindsight is a five piece unit dedicated to creating original material for the musical mind. Formed in Fall 2003, the band consists of Aaron Graunke on vocals/lyrics, Marquette Fricot on bass, Danni Schaper on guitar, Brian Weathers on drums and Anthony "Maestro" Bisceglie on percussion/electronics.
The process of recording their debut EP is now complete with the help of producer Rae Nimeh of United Technique Recording (Disturbed, Common, Mudvayne) in Chicago. Blending primarily rock with hints of jazz and electronic percussives in a unique rock atmosphere is the idea. Elements of all styles will be noticed with the broad range of influences that Mindsight possesses. With the sky being the limit Mindsight plans to promote and market this EP to the masses in hopes of it's efforts taking a dream and making it reality.
Beyond staying busy in the studio Mindsight has rigorously been performing in the Chicagoland area at venues such as Elbo Room, Abbey Pub, Hard Rock Cafe, The Note, Double Door, Penny Road Pub, Oasis 160 and many others. As a cohesive unit Mindsight continues performing throughout the Chicagoland area with expectations of exploring other major cities in the near future. For now, traveling with positive energy and continuing to grow in the local music scene is priority.
