NewCleaR is a Modern Rock/Alternative band that was started in 1999. NewCleaR has a sound and style of their own and have been told they have a slightly European flair. NewCleaR has developed that style from influences such as Weezer, Green Day, and The Beatles and have over 60 original songs.
The band members are:
Dustman - Lead guitar/vocals - musical genius
Lee - Keyboards/vocals - artistic genius
Matto - Bass/vocals - evil genius
Boober - Drums - he likes cheese
Josh - vocals - beatnick poet genius
NewCleaR's first CD was released in mid 2002 properly named 'FallOuT'. This CD is currently for sale at Karma's CD's & Tapes, CD Baby and at the Official NewCleaR website. A second CD, entitled 'The SPOON E.P.' is available exclusively through MP3.com. NewCleaR completed their fully operational recording studio in December 2002 christened "The FallOuT Shelter" by the band Cutthroat Stella. The main recording unit is a 2002 model Roland 24 channel system. Since the new system came on line we have re-recorded our FallOuT album with our new capabilities and have started working on our next album entitled 'Winter'.
Projects do come up occasionally that we handle on a 'time-oriented' basis depending upon the urgency of completion. We are also at present collaborating with the award winning Wav Magic Audio in Los Angeles, California to provide musical content for live theatre, television, movies and video game projects.
NewCleaR performs live shows in competitions, store events, bars, clubs, festivals, concerts, and fund raising events. Anything to get the music out! We have been asked to play at the Chicago Quarter Marathon, the Chicago Half Marathon and have been one of the 14 finalist bands of Ozzfest 2003.
We have also submitted tracks to be considered by the Picture Perfect Company, which produces content for MTV's 'Real World' along with numerous other industry opportunities made available to us by Tonos.com.
NewCleaR's song 'Bender' was a number one hit on MP3.com in the State of Indiana for 3 consecutive weeks.
