On first listen, Papalegba may remind you of a number of other bands. But by the time you make it halfway through their self-titled, full-length debut album, it will become obvious that Papalegba is not like any other band at all. Musically, Papalegba is a melting pot of many different styles, feels, and emotions that drive this 10 track gem. You’ll get everything from the grinding rock (Coronation) to the grooving roll (Tragedy) and the soulful, haunting ballad (Star). If you ask 10 people to name their favorite song on the record, you will surely get 10 different responses. That’s what this band was able to accomplish in its first EP attempt.
