Exploding onto the North Carolina rock scene in late 2002, Pathogen is formed from childhood friends sharing a unique vision for a new and original rock/metal sound. Tired and bored of the mundane rock/metal offerings of industry and underground bands alike, Pathogen sets out to create and infectious new style that's all their own. Drawing from a wide variety of influences that range from Deftones and Radiohead, to Pantera and Mudvayne, Pathogen blends hard driving, powerful guitars, pounding bass and drums, and melodic, emotionally charged vocals. The end result is a sonic rollercoaster ride of pain, anger, mystery, optimism, and drama specifically designed to linger in even the most jaded listener's head. (Accentus Contagio!)

In the year and a half since making their project public, Pathogen has enjoyed critical acclaim at venues through out North Carolina, as their fanbase continues to multiply. Quickly attracting attention on their local scene, Pathogen began working with one of the foremost producers/recording engineers in North Carolina, Jamie King of "The Basement" recording studio. Known for his sharp ear and attention to detail, Jamie King helped fine-tune and further polish Pathogen's sound on their highly anticipated debut release "Transition".
