this album will make you want to kick some ass!
peter cooper has put together some killer songs to get your blood pumping. This is just the beginning of a VERY promising career for this young man and his band. WATCH OUT! with cooper supplying all the guitar and bass work for the album, in addition to all the vocal work, writing and co-production, it is no wonder it kicks major ass. Peter has been a semi-finalist in two of the Jimi Hendrix electric guitar competitions and he and his band were in the top 100 finalists of the Sennheiser Evolution Band Contest. This was all at a time when he had only been playing for 2 years. The kid sure does progress quickly. having studied with Jimmy Prav, the musical genious who fronts "vas deferens" does not hurt either. engineer adrian degner also had a hand in getting some killer sounds. "international criminal" starts everything off with some really heavy spaced out stuff, that is an autobiographical tale of his traveling the country scraping for fame. "addicted to t.v." is a wake-up call to all those damned couch potatoes who are literally addicted to t.v. "poorhouse" is an all out instrumental guitar frenzy showing cooper's shredding prowess. this one really sounds like a cross between eddie van halen and stevie ray vaughn. "man vs.machine" tells of the dangers of technology , while pete's cover of t-bone walker's "let me love you" shows you he can funk and swing with the best of them. "my fair maiden" is a beautyful classical feeling piece that will calm you down before the storm. the storm is "full moon", it starts off with bach's "toccata and fugue in d minor", although pete plays it in e minor, then goes into furious vocal assault and ripping guitars to make your hair stand on end. it also contains a variation on beethoven's 7th symphony. this is definatly one you can listen to from beginning to end and feel like you have been part of a story( a kind of sick twisted story )but a story non the less. so sit back and.....no! stand up and shout and pump your fists in the air because this stuff will stay in your head and hearts for a very long time. The louder you play it the better it sounds. "play it loud mutha!" - dee snyder Check out the artist's website: http://www.petercooper.biz Track List: 1. International Criminal 2. Addicted to T.v. 3.
