Josh Phillips (lead guitar, lead vocals)- Josh is twenty-six years old. He received his first guitar at the age of eleven years old, he taught himself how to play it, and at thirteen, he began dabbling in writing dark and twisted poetry. At fifteen, he began combining the two, and has been a singer/songwriter ever since. Porcelynn is Josh's second band, the first being the infamous and short-lived Champagne and Pussy. Josh's influences include The Smashing Pumpkins, Clutch, The Pixies, and David Bowie.
Todd Phillips (bass guitar, keyboard, back-up vocals)- Todd is a twenty-two year old student of music at UNC Asheville. He has been playing guitar since he was fifteen and the bass since he was eighteen. He recently began adding piano and composition to his repertoire. Todd's influences range from Les Claypool to Pink Floyd to Clutch.
Jason Butler (rhythm guitar, percussion, vocals)- Jason is thirty years old. He has been playing the drums since elementary school. He began playing the guitar, singing, and experimenting with other instruments in high school, when he also began playing in various garage bands with friends. Jason met Josh and Todd when he was nineteen, and they've been jamming together off and on ever since. After a short stint with Champagne and Pussy, he became the drummer for Porcelynn in August 2002, left the group briefly, and rejoined the group as rhythm guitarist in January 2005. From time to time, Jason adds his vocals, bass, and percussion to the mix.
George Liebel (percussion)- George is a twenty-five year old drummer from Fairless Hills, PA. He started playing the drums in 1991 at the age of eleven. In 1994, he formed his first band, Hollow, which re-formed with a new lineup in 1998 as Endless. In 2001, George moved to Greenville, SC, where he briefly played percussion in front of coffeehouses on Main Street for change. He worked on two different projects at the time, one a "jam band," the other a collaboration of heavy metal and acoustic instruments, neither of which took off. In 2003, George moved to Asheville, and started working on a "space jam" drum and guitar duo and in 2005 joined Porcelynn. George has many influences, some of which are Tim (Herb) Alexander, John Bonham, Gregg Allman, Butch Trucks, Ozzy, Jimi Hendrix, Mitch Mitchel, and the whole Seattle Grunge movement.
