Primal Apathy started in 1994 as the KISS tribute band EXCITER. Members of the KISS tribute band EXCITER ventured on their own to record their own music on a demo cassette tape under the name "EXCITER X-Rated." Singer, Gaylon Tyner, was inspired by the wave of school shootings across the country, a rage of flag burnings, an apathetic society, and anarchist government. He felt he needed to voice his opinions.
Celebrating the 10th year anniversary of "Waiting On Alcatraz", the CD that opened eyes in the midsouth has been re-released.
The music will be featured in a rock musical this fall called, "Life and Fire."
Parts of the CD werebeen mixed and produced by Erick Crews and Brad Vosburg. Vosburg (Primal Apathy and Terror In A Perfect Town) worked on the Meat Puppets, "Too High To Die" and early Queensryche work.
