This is the debut album from SF-based spacerock songsters Richard Bitch. Led by John Dickey (formerly of Pie), the Bitch holds a wide range of rock styles in her rough embrace. Homage to 70s soft-rock, metal, and 90s shoegazing is paid. Yet strong songwriting & ache-worthy melodies integrate such seeming incongruities into an asskickingly transportive whole. A noisy but rewarding choice, Jeff Hair promises to grow on you.

"the really really Jeff hair people" isn't really concept album, but you could think of Jeff as the blissed out blasé stoner skater surfer sloth who always seems to be having a better time that you are. If you could just walk a mile in his hair, it might feel like this record sounds.

Richard Bitch hails from San Francisco. Rounded out by members Tracy DeLuca on bass, Colin Gradek on drums, and Ken Flagg on keyboards, the Bitch puts on absolutely killer shows.
