Recorded over the course of four days by Jon Chinn at Workbook Studio, Year Of The Horse, on Backstage Records, marks Salt Horse's third full-length compact disc. The record represents a rebirth of the band, and captures the renewed energy and enthusiasm. However, the listener can still count on the addicting hooks, clever lyrics, and skilled musicianship for which Salt Horse is known.
While in the studio recording their second release, The Best of Times, Salt Horse remained focused on their mission statement: Break new ground to help save rock. As a result, they created the perfect rock album filled with songs that can't be shaken from the listener's mind. Utilizing the Balkan link between bassist Constantinos Petros Hondroulis and vocalist/guitarist Milan Aleksandar Karcic, and the even-handed percussion techniques of Christopher Dodds Cox, Salt Horse creates a vision that is truly unique to the modern rock world.
