Seeing Red is:
Rob Demisch- Lead Guitar Mike Bowman- Vocals & Guitar Bill O'Fallon- Bass Dave Hofbauer- Drums WELCOME. It's time to tear down all the lies. Song reviews on Garageband.com (www.garageband.com) have called SEEING RED everything from "the second coming of Megadeth" to "Alice Cooper meets Metallica meets Carcass meets Marilyn Manson." But with their varied textures and influences, Seeing Red defies comparison to any of these bands. Make no mistake about it - Seeing Red is REAL metal. Longtime friends Rob Demisch and Bill O'Fallon had played together in previous bands, but somehow had never realized their full musical vision. The music finally started to gel when drummer Dave Hofbauer came on board. The addition of singer/guitarist Mike Bowman gave the band the melodic dual guitar sound that it needed, and the Seeing Red sound was born. Each member of Seeing Red brings different influences to the table, adding to the multidimensionality of their music. Both Rob and Bill are longtime Metallica fans; the influences of Kirk Hammett and Jason Newsted are clear. Rob's searing lead guitar playing is also strongly reminiscent of neo-classical metal guitarists like the late Randy Rhodes. Mike Bowman, who counts everyone from the Beatles to Pantera among his influences, brings diversity to the band with his versatile guitar playing and keen sense of vocal harmony. Mike's melodic vocals and thought provoking lyrics set the band apart from the average metal band. Dave Hofbauer's biggest influence is Matt Cameron of Soundgarden. His prior experience drumming for hard rock and alternative bands brings a different feel to the band's songs, setting them apart from bands weaned on classic metal. The band's eponymous twelve-song debut album is currently available for $8 at www.cdbaby.com/seeingred. Seeing Red songs can be heard online at www.mp3.com/seeingred and the music page of this site. Seeing Red is currently recording their second full-length album, scheduled for release in September, 2002. The album, produced by Mike Bowman and Rob Demisch, will feature hit songs like "Believe" and "Priceless" that have already become staples of the band's live set. Get up and unite.
