Thanks to Hutcheson, whose song-writing forged new-ground in the local scene. The tunes were catchy and radio friendly, but demanded respect from the trained listener. The sound is enhanced by the rhythmic section’s elements of syncopation and heavy, progressive-based riffs. Each member of this band is experimenting in his own way; this is allowing the music to guide Shaking Judy into the unknown.
The changeover from 2005 to 2006 was spent at the new Apollo Sound studios. A tremendous amount of planning went into the project. But the excess of hours afforded by their engineer and producer, Richie Vincent, resulted in an emotionally reflective 5 song EP titled, "Songs for Apollo".
With their return from the east coast of Australia, sporting a selective fan base that spans continents, Shaking Judy is kicking hard. With a slew of new songs and a ton of projects in line, Shaking Judy is making the rock.
