Jesus said go out into the world and share God's love for His people. The gospel can be shared in many different languages and in many different formants. Shudder uses music with hard beats and several stage props, such as fog and lights to appeal to a younger generation. Our goal is to draw youth into our performance in order to witness to them. Shudder was formed in the summer of 2003. Since that time, Shudder has evolved into a mature music ministry dedicated in following the will of God. In the summer of 2004, the Treading Fire LP was released and became Shudder's first full-length album. From the first practice until the present day, Shudder believes whole-heartedly in this ministry set in motion by God. You will find Shudder's mission statement in James 2:19. This is where James, the brother of Jesus, writes a letter to the Christians of the early church explaining how to practice the proper behavior expected of a Christian. James 2:19 states, "You believe there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that and shudder". We, like James, believe that it is not good enough to know that there is a God. We believe that you must have a personal relationship with God and His Son Jesus. It is not enough to simply know there is a God. We must also put our whole faith in His Son Jesus Christ. What sets us apart from the demons is having a personal relationship with the Father and Son. We must believe that Jesus came into this world to die on the cross for us and that He did it of His own free will. Because of His Love and sacrifice we can live to play another day.
