The Foundry has been together 5 years and finally recorded in a real studio. We are very happy with the way this one came out, better than expected. Hats off to our engineer Jason Shavey. We are an instrumental drums, guitar, bass power trio that loves to rock out real loud in our big warehouse in Woodinville, Wa. Our sound is rooted in 60's, 70's rock, Seattle rock, desert rock and California surf. Throw in some metal, punk and a little South Pacific and your in for a powerful, engrossing musical adventure. Check out our song Cortez Banks, a 13 minute jam we played off the cuff in the studio only for the 3rd time! It is a song about the mysterious surfing spot 100 miles off the coast of San Diego. The first 6 minutes takes you on an eerie night voyage of dark lonliness complete with whale songs and a real UFO report. The second 7 minutes are a full-on crazed adreneline rush of surfing the awesome 70 foot waves this spot has been known to produce.
