Vulgar Pang is a unique power rock ensemble out of the Midwest. Formed around the diverse songwriting and gothic baritone of frontman Craig Hawkinson, Vulgar Pang brings a manic blend of rock with elements of funk, punk, and metal...occasionally laying back into the realm of acoustic ballads.

VP's debut, "Pleasures of Schizophrenia" is a diverse plummet into the mind of a man coming to terms with who he is and what the truth is about his soul. Changing shapes as the does the vampire he sees himself as in the opening track "Vardoulacha", his evolution takes him from artist to lover to libertine to drunk to revolutionary, never giving up the hope of resolving himself and the world he lives in, ultimately realizing the revolution begins from within. The many faces of rock and roll are used to express his rotating emotions, from the lonely wandering of "Divided by Zero" to the intense desire of "Into You" to the comical bitterness of "Bender" to the edge of discovery in the Burroughs-influenced "Tangier".

From the inside out...Vulgar Pang instigates a revolution of the mind and soul...by embracing the madness of rock and roll.
