Based in Central VA and ready to take on the world, Year And A Day is an all original rock band whose time has come.

Formed in the Spring of 2000, the band has worked to shape a unique sound which reflects the diversity of its members. Drawing on a variety of influences such as Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Kings X, Dream Theatre, Stone Temple Pilots and Nirvana, just to name a few, Year And A Day cannot be easily catagorized into the cookie cutter mold of todays music.

The heartfelt vocals of frontman Justin Collins go from soothing to searing, seething emotion with every breath. Lead guitarist Brian Lambert plays with a seemingly reckless abandon, as if each note might be his last. Bassist Bob DeGregory brings an unbelievable energy to the bands live show, leaving audiences in awe, while drummer Clanton May holds it all together with a tasteful, yet powerful performance.

With their self-titled debut album (released in late 2003) under their belts, and the Best New Rock Band award from the 2003 New York International Music festival in their trophy case, Year And a Day are experiencing excellent sales, are getting regular airplay, and have several national tour dates scheduled for the coming year.
