When Club Dub went into the studio to record for the first time, the guys had a blast! The band had been playing live for a while, but had only tried maybe 1 real rehearsal. This CD is a true 1 take per cut stand and deliver, unrehearsed project of a band that had only been together about 6 months.
All the tracks on this CD were recorded with all musicians playing at the same time, some in different rooms of Commonwealth Studios in Covington, Ky. Before recording each track, the band would talk about the ideas for each song and then roll tape! It was about 3 hours of playing and 1.5 days of mixing, partying.
When you listen to this CD you can hear the yearning and release of creative freedom. Freedom from rules, genre, baggage, and musical identity.
