Immediately, the band captured the attention of audiences, clubs, and press.
As promoters for the Lawrence Bread and Roses Festival observed, "if you're not up and dancing by the time these guys are through, you better check your pulse!"
That energy level is deeply embedded in their self-titled, 6-song debut, released in December of 1997. The release is representative of the force and liveliness that surrounds the band.
Edable Gray's genuine mix of Rock, R & B and Hip-Hop Is diverse and innovative.
Edable Gray's freshman album, along with the energy of their live show, earned the band immediate respect.
In July 1999 they released their sophomore album entitled "Songs from M.A.R.S." which was produced by Marisa T. Dery and features distinguished musicians, such as, The Vine Street Horns (the horn section for Aretha Franklin, Phil Collins, Maceo Parker and was engineered by Don Puluse and Jamie Locke.

This release chronicles the bands growth as musicians and writers.
